How league points work
Complete today’s puzzle for 100 points, a puzzle 1–29 days old for 50, or a puzzle 30+ days old for 5. Difficulty adds Easy +0, Moderate +10, Challenging +25, or Expert +50 on the release day. At 1–29 days old, this bonus is halved and rounded down; at 30+ days it is zero. Difficulty is taken from the puzzle’s rating. Past league results keep their original points. On-time streaks add +10 on day 2, +20 on day 3, up to +100 per day from day 11. Missing a day restarts the bonus. Successful sharing or copying a completed league result earns +1 once per Eastern day across all leagues.
Weeks begin Monday and months begin on the first, using Eastern time. Points count when earned, after joining each league. Only puzzles started while signed in and after joining count. Extra Play earns Easy 10, Moderate 20, Challenging 35, or Expert 60 points once per distinct puzzle. Extra Play results count from puzzles started while signed in and after joining; they do not extend daily streaks or change daily score averages. Old browser results are excluded. Your existing personal scores remain separate.
This is casual competition among friends. The server checks answers, derives scores from submitted hint and mistake counts, and prevents duplicate awards. Hint and mistake counts come from the game in your browser; this is not a tamper-proof tournament system.
Up to 10 leagues per player and 50 players per league. Invite links grant access to join; league creators can replace an invite. Leaving removes you from standings. Creators can delete their leagues.
